There is some guy in my town who has a same gen And same colour Escort, with an RSXXXX on the back of it. Though I don’t remember what the Xs are, so I’m not sure if it is an RS2000. Were other RSes made with this front?

No, just the RS2000. The RS1600 had the conventional front.
The nose is just a plastic add-on.
